There are a lot of blogs on the Internet, and a lot of sites where you can find news and reviews. New sites spring up all the time, created by talented writers who want to share their passion for a variety of subjects with the world, but it can be difficult (or impossible) to compete with the leading sites, which often are funded by huge corporations. Gameroni was conceived as an alternative to that system. It's a place where the brightest bloggers can gather and work together to promote one another's content... and to share in the revenue that results! In short, Gameroni is intended to serve as a megaphone that independent writers with talent might not otherwise have.
Anyone who is 18 or older is welcome to join, provided he or she provides an email address, username and password that are not already in use. Minors need permission from a parent or legal guardian before they join. There is no cost to join.
This site is intended to promote your activity by building a community around it, so that you can receive more attention than you otherwise would. If your content is especially popular and interesting, you may be asked to join the site's staff. In that case, you will be able to participate in revenue sharing by determining what ads appear next to the posts that you create. Any other potential compensation instead of (or as a supplement to) that arrangement would come only on a case-by-case basis, through special arrangement.
We ask that you limit your posts to content relating to the site's obvious topics, which are listed in the header bar. There's nothing to stop you from posting about any topic you please, but the specified topics are the ones most likely to gain traction on this particular site. If you would like to post on a different topic, there may be a site in the Venter Media network that is better suited to that content.
While this site is intended primarily for users over 18, your posts and comments should be appropriate for the workplace. Please do not post adult content, spam or posts that encourage illegal activity and piracy. You should also refrain from posting content that discriminates against groups based on gender, sexual orientation, religion, or political leanings. We're not going to list every specific thing that might not be welcome here, so please use some common sense. You should know inappropriate content when you see it, just by using the above as a general guideline.
If you come across a post or a comment in a discussion that violates the above guidelines, you can contact us to request its removal. Not every post that is reported will be removed (we're big fans of free speech), but we'll take action in extreme cases that we believe warrant it. Those who ignore the site guidelines aren't welcome here, and their contributions may be modified or removed without notice.
If you have an idea for a feature, or if you will have early access to a person, product or event that especially deserves coverage on this site, you can contact us to pitch your story and we might even pay you. Please understand that any incentive we may be able to offer is determined on a case-by-case basis, and you should indicate how much you would expect to be paid when you contact us. Also nclude links to previous work that you have posted on this site or elsewhere, so that we have a better idea whether or not your possible contribution will be a good fit. Because we don't have a large budget, we can only commission a limited number of articles throughout the calendar year.
If you become a freelancer on the site, your account will be upgraded so that occasional contributions can be marked as "featured" by site staff. Once an article has been featured, you will be unable to modify that designation, and you also will not be permitted to make changes to the post. Freelancer articles will only be featured on assignment, and you may otherwise continue to use your account as normal. Because freelancers are paid per assignment, they will not be able to earn separate income on the site from custom ad banners.
