Starting Monday, Sony will be taking the Move to certain locations around the country for extended stays, opening their new product and games to the public's appraisal.

For the next nine weeks, if you are in San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Houston, Washington DC, or Chicago, you will have the chance to try out the Move before it comes out.

Some of the big games on hand include NBA2K11, Resident Evil Gold, Kung Fu Rider, and Time Crisis: Razing Storm.

I'll admit that Sony's latest PR efforts surrounding the Move have really paid off with a bevy of good press and true interest amongst gamers. People seem excited about the possibilities of getting smooth motion controls on a system with better graphics than the Wii. Also, Sony has said it is going to be supported as much as a new system would be, so it seems that this isn't going to be a one-shot attempt to plug into a branch of the market.

At least that's my guess. I'm excited, but in that "I don't know why yet" way. Like I said... the PR is really paying off.

Still, if I keep on writing, I'm going to end up saying something lame, like "Sony Moving to a city near you!" or "Sony is on the move!"

So let's end this here, shall we?

The list of cities and dates can be found here

Move will be officially released in Asia on September 15th and in North America on September 17th. Oddly, it hits Japan later, on October 21st.

The "system" will cost under a $100 in both individual and bundle packages.
