In short, Jonathan Guberman (not the easiest name to market) and his associates have put together a new console on which to play Interactive Fiction. This nifty device, which is about the size of an Xbox 360, apparently doesn't use CDs or game cartridges to play. It doesn't even come with a screen. Instead, it uses something called "paper" which it then proceeds to print words upon using something called "ink." The device itself has a self-descriptive name and is known as a "typewriter."

I'll be honest. I'm not sure entirely what the point is of having a typewriter slowly play Interactive Fiction with you. Maybe the best reason is given by the developers: because they think it's cool. I have to hand that to them; it is pretty cool.
