Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment, Inc. recently announced that their license agreement with MGM Entertainment has expired and will not be renewed. This means that their online third-person shooter, Stargate Resistance, based on the television series, is no longer for sale and will be shutting down. Customers who purchase the game prior to November 16th will be allowed to play the game until January 15th, which is when the servers will go down for good.

It’s a pity that for the developers and the players who invested their time and money into the game. If you’re one of the owners of Stargate Resistance, perhaps you should enjoy it as much as you can while it lasts. If you didn’t get a chance to try it, at this point it looks like you never will.
