Splinter is missing, but there are a few (green) guys who might be able to find him, if they can work together. That's the idea behind Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate, which is now available worldwide on Nintendo Switch.

Developed by Super Evil Megacorp, a company comprised of people who are almost certainly better humans than the company name suggests, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate is a four-player roguelike that you can also play alone. But if you prefer to play with friends, or even strangers, that's also an option because online play is supported.

Here's a list of features straight from the press release:

  • Play the way you want! Solo, local or online co-op, up to 4 players.
  • Play as any of the 4 turtles, Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo, each with their own attack style, special skills, and unique masteries.
  • Randomized powerups, enemies, and minibosses so no two runs are the same!
  • Permanent upgrade progression so you can still make progress, even in defeat!
  • Improved visual design, graphics, audio and optimized controls for Nintendo Switch.
  • All-new, dynamic story written by legendary comic book author Tom Waltz and Kevin Michael Johnson.

That sounds pretty good, right? And the Nintendo Switch seems like an ideal platform, as one thinks back on turtle-based games dating back to the NES. I used to love playing TMNT 2: The Arcade Games with friends.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate is available on the eShop with an MSRP of $29.99 USD, so you don't even have to brave the heat and make a run to the nearest game shop. Are you ready to play around with turtle power?
