Someone had the bright idea to offer it at no charge.

When Endless Ocean Luminous arrives early this next month, players will be able to take advantage of a 7-day trial offer for Nintendo Switch Online. That will be a great way to test the upcomin game's online modes in the days following its launch.

Endless Ocean Luminous is scheduled to hit stores on May 2, 2024, the same day interested players can first activate their trial run at Nintendo Switch Online. It will be offered in a pamphlet if you purchase the game's physical edition, or sent to you by email if you download the digital version.

While a Nintendo Switch Online membership offers you the chance to play a variety of retro games all by yourself (or with online friends), online modes for newer Nintendo games are the main draw. Endless Ocean Luminous will feature "Event Dives," which are themed events offering unusual sights and sea life. In other words, you won't want to miss out on them if you're looking to extend your experience.

If you do take advantage of the code, note that you'll want to cancel that membership before it auto-renews, unless you find that you like it so much you can't stand to do without it. Which may well prove to be the case.

Nintendo promises Endless Ocean Luminous will offer a "soundscape and serene visuals," with "leisurely gameplay and open-ended sensory experiences." That all sounds really good in 2024, maybe even better than it did when the original titles brought blue ocean gaming to Nintendo Wii. The game carries an MSRP of $49.99, which is also quite appealing. Are you ready to take a dive?
