Players who have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of Dead Island 2 on PC need wait no longer, as publisher PLAION today released the game on that platform. Two DLC packs have also made the leap (awkwardly, one assumes), and you can get all of that stuff on Steam at a big discount through April 29.

Dead Island 2 initially arrived on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X this time last year. Since then, it has received two expansions: Haus and SoLA. The latter arrived just a week or so ago, so you can catch up pretty quickly if that's your thing. There's even Steam Deck support.

Dead Island 2 lets players explore a "gore-drenched" version of Los Angeles (that's "Hell-A" for short), populated by larger-than-life characters who do battle with characters that aren't quite so alive. Things could get a bit violent, as they tend to when brain munchers are involved. I can't even remember the last time I played a zombie knitting game.

From now through April 29, Dead Island 2 is available on Steam at a 50% discount. That makes right now the perfect time to get to know the current undead crowd in this undead action-RPG.
