Our staff

At launch and until/unless something changes, Gameroni staff are unpaid volunteers with a broad range of experience who contribute to the site because they are passionate about video games and don't want to go too long without writing about them. They are expected to share their genuine opinions, and to be ready to defend them from as part of a civil exchange with anyone else who shares that passion.

• Jason Venter Editor · 61 articles In 1998, Jason founded HonestGamers. Since then, he has also freelanced for leading game sites like IGN, GameSpot, Polygon, and numerous others. He still does that when the right opportunities arise, but he built Gameroni to make new opportunities available... for himself and for other writers who share his passion for games. When he's not busy yammering on about games, he's usually writing fantasy fiction, or spending time with his wife and daughter in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
