Class of Heroes 1 & 2: Complete Edition

Classy stuff!

Class of Heroes and Class of Heroes 2, originally released on PSP (and PS3, in the case of the latter) are now available in a new bundle called Class of Heroes 1 & 2: Complete Edition. The compilation is available to own on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5, as well as Steam.

The included games were originally developed by Zerodiv, otherwise perhaps best known for helping to port a lot of Psikyo shooters to various platforms. The Class of Heroes games, which offer first-person dungeon crawling, were published by Acquire in Japan and localized in North America by Atlus and MonkeyPaw Games.

Picking up the original Class of Heroes and its sequel on eBay could now cost a pretty penny, and won't even do you much good unless you still have a working PSP with a functional battery, so it's nice to see a compilation that affordably makes them available on new devices. They're unlikely to capture mainstream attention, but us dungeon crawlers know what we like and we like… crawling dungeons, I guess.

Features today's press release highlighted include more than 75 dungeons in Class of Heroes alone, and more than 100 dungeon maps in its sequel. Both games offer a variety of classes, alignments, and “courses” for players to experience. And, of course, there are oodles of monsters and weapons. It all sounds very nice.

Class of Heroes 1 & 2: Complete Edition is priced at around $35 on consoles and $40 on Steam before any sales, and it is currently offered at a discount on all platforms. Tempting, tempting, tempting!
