Moonfrost, a cozy farming sim with a second moon (because one Harvest Moon is enough?) has entered Steam Early Access, developer Oxalis Games announced today in a press release.

Developed by the team behind Tiny Dwellings, another sim that has not yet released in its final form, Moonfrost combines standard farming elements with a building element, as you rework to build a faltering town.

Apparently, the town is in sorry shape because of the aforementioned second moon, which appeared 100 years ago. After it did so, icy meteors rained down on the planet, a mysterious substance now known as moonfrost. Do you suppose it's the same stuff referenced in the game's title? I'm betting it is.

As a Frost Hunter, you'll use the power of moonfrost to bring the village back to life, which you do by helping to rebuild the people who live there. As you labor on your project and restore one building after another, you'll open up new possibilities for the developing plot. Maybe you'll even find a lover?

There's also an exploration element to the game, which sends players into dark dungeons where they can find more resources and potentially discover the secret behind the second moon.
