The newest additions to Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves will be two characters from the Tokyo Revengers anime series, according to a press release issued earlier today on behalf of SNK Corporation. They are part of Season Pass 3, and should become available starting Oct. 22, 2026.
The characters in question are Manjiro “Mikey” Sano and Ken “Draken” Ryuguji, the leader and vice leader of the powerful Tokyo Manji Gang. They play a critical role in Tokyo Revengers. The story in that anime follows Takemichi Hanagaki, a young man in Japan who discovers he can travel through time. His new power just might allow him to save the people he cares about, but he'll have to deal with the gang to do it.
The Tokyo Revengers anime is based on a manga series by Ken Wakui, which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine from 2017 to 2022. There are apparently more than 80 million copies in circulation worldwide, along with live-action adaptations, stage productions, and the aforementioned anime. Clearly, the show has a lot of fans. My nerd card is running on fumes, so I'd never even heard of it until today.
In the game, as in the anime, Manjiro "Mikey" Sano is voiced by Yu Hayashi (in Japanese) and by Aleks Le (in English). Here is his trailer:
Ken "Draken" Ryuguji is voiced by Sean Chiplock (in English) and by Katsuya Fukunishi (in Japanese). Here is his trailer:
The Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves and Tokyo Revengers collaboration debuts shortly after the start of the "War of the Three Titans" arc in the anime. You can catch new episodes each Friday on MBS, TBS, or affiliated networks in Japan, or worldwide on Disney+.
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves launched on April 24, 2025, becoming the first new Fatal Fury game since Garou: Mark of the Wolves in 1999. The newest entry is already up to its third season pass, and you don't have to buy them separately to experience everything. Season Pass 3 is available separately for $19.99 or equivalent, and you can play it as long as you also have the base game. A bundle known as Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Revenge Edition, which assembles the base game and all three current seasons, is also available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, and PC for $49.99.
Nintendo Switch 2 players need not worry about missing out on the game, either. According to the press release, they can preorder the digital Standard Edition for $19.99, or the Starter Edition (with all three seasons) for $29.99. It will release digitally on Oct. 22, 2026, and a physical Starter Edition is due on Jan. 21, 2027.
Today's update didn't mention future fighters in Season Pass 3, but a little digging revealed there may be two more of them on the way. Fatal Fury fans are eating good!
