Side Mission 030: Show Me a Mega Camerupt!

Making glasses isn't easy. Sometimes, you need a little inspiration of the sort that only a battle with a Camerupt that has been properly evolved can provide. Such is the case for Arden.

Find Arden north of the Stone Emporium and help her out.

Defeat the requester in a Pokemon battle during which you Mega Evolve a Camerupt.

When you talk to Arden, she makes her wishes clear. To save the day, you must find a Camerupt, add it to your party, and then have a Pokemon battle with Arden.

To find a Camerupt to add to your party, look in Wild Zone 8. One frequently appears in the wide, circular patch of dirt at the center of that zone. It's difficult to miss, because it is an Alpha Camerupt, with red eyes and higher levels than normal. Early in the game, when you first have access to the side mission, the Camerupt may not appear in that zone. You can initiate the quest, then check back periodically to see if the situation has changed.

If you get tired of checking in and failing to find the Alpha Camerupt, there's another path to take: find a Numel (also in Wild Zone 8) and level it up to level 33. At that point, it can evolve to become Camerupt.

Once you finally have a Camerupt, make sure it carries the Cameruptite stone that you receive upon completing Mission 12. During the battle with Arden the Artist, which pits you against Watchong, Krokorok, and Sharpedo, initiate the Mega Evolution at the first opportunity. Use your strengthened form to quickly defeat your opponents. They shouldn't survive for long. Victory gets you the fired up and lovestruck contact lens designs. You also receive 1,200 Poke Dollars and Fresh Water x2.
