Main Mission 11: A Rogue Mega Slowbro
As you complete Main Mission 10: The Secrets of Mega Evolution, you attend a strategy meeting where the team members discuss plans to take down three Rogue Pokemon monsters. You can target the three monsters in any order you like, and each one has its own mission number.

During the cutscene that introduces the mission, AZ approaches the Pokemon Trainer and hands over an important item that allows the selected starting Pokemon to evolve. In my case, that item was Emboarite, which helps an Emboar to Mega Evolve. The one you receive will depend on which starter your chose.

Head to the area indicated on the map. The approach isn't immediately obvious. The Slowbro is resting on a stone that rises from a pond. I approached from the direction of Nouveau Cafe, by heading around the north side of the water and circling around. However, a more direct route is to head west from Vernal Avenue, then pass underneath the archway and head into the park. You'll see Taunie standing near the enemy, and you can choose to join her in battling it.
Boss Battle: Rogue Mega Slowbro
When you begin the battle with the Rogue Mega Slowbro, you'll find both yourself and Taunie engaged. A tutorial screen provides important information. You need to use ‘+’ moves in battle. These are the only moves that cause the Slowbro to drop energy balls. You must collect that energy until you have enough that your chosen Pokemon can Mega Evolve.
Note that I fought the battle using my fairly weak Absol. Given the dialog, the game seems to want you to rely on Emboar instead.

Slowbro has a few attacks of note. It sends out waves of water, both in a stream of huge bubbles and in a grouping of water vortexes that move your way. There are several rounds of geysers. They spread out as they expand from their source. When either attack starts, your best move is to back off and let the danger pass. Then move back in and start attacking with your ‘+’ moves again. Don't get too close for long, though. The Slowbro also likes to topple over with a body slam if you spend much time in close quarters.

Your Mega Evolve meter fills quickly if you're using those ‘+’ moves, so keep an eye on it. As soon as your meter is full and the Slowbro isn't in the middle of using one of its more powerful elemental attacks, move in close and use a Mega Evolution. Then hit your foe with your most powerful moves to quickly tear through its life meter.
If your Pokemon gets knocked out, keep your distance from the Slowbro until you can revive your friend and then refill its life meter. Otherwise, the Pokemon Trainer may get knocked out and then you will have to restart the battle.
Once you win the battle, you receive Slowbronite, which you can give to any Slowbro you may have in your party for future Mega Evolution fun. Then you're free to tackle your next target in a separate mission.
