Side Mission 043: A Big Weedle Problem

Gardens attract worms like fruit attracts flies. This side mission explores what you can do about it when a handful of Weedles make themselves unwelcome.

You meet Grandt not far from Cafe Gallant. He is a gardener, and the local Weedle population is making his job quite difficult during the critical daytime hours.

Catch the alpha Weedle that shows up during the day and messes up the garden.

After talking to Grandt and initiating the quest, head forward and around the bush, then turn left and approach the Weedle. A scene follows and then it attacks.

The Weedle should not prove especially difficult, except that it is at level 45. That means it can take some punishment before falling. It also attacks with poison, so you'll want to have either antidotes or potions on hand, if not both. You also would do well to make sure the fight ends swiftly.

Weedle is weak to fire attacks, so bring something capable of hitting hard with that element. I used Emboar and its Flame Wheel move. When you win the battle, Grandt asks if you'll let him have the Alpha Weedle. I went ahead and let him.

The reward for a mission successfully completed is 1,500 Poke Dollars, Sitrus Berry x5, Hondew Berry x5, and Rindo Berry x5.
