Side Mission 042: A Fan of Fairy Types

Not a lot of people appreciate the Fairy-type Pokemon as much as they should. At least, that's what Faye believes. She'll challenge you to a battle so she can prove how powerful they really are.

Defeat the requester in a Pokemon battle.

Look for Faye waiting in Wild Zone 6, along the eastern portion of the Lumios City map. She's standing in an outdoor arena along the west side of one of the buildings.

When you talk to Faye the Furisode Girl, she'll challenge you to a battle. Accept the challenge and you'll face off against Cleffa, Swirlix, and Spritzee. All of those Pokemon are Fairy-type monsters, which means they hold up well to a lot of typical elemental damage and then heal themselves by draining your life.

The easiest way to win the battle is to apply brute force with your starter (which is what I did), or to attack with a Poison-type Pokemon such as Weepinbell, Ekans, or Arbok. A Steel-type can also work, but I didn't have a lot of those available.

Win the battle to complete the mission and receive 2,400 Poke Dollars and Fairy Feather.
