Main Mission 18: A Rogue Mega Banette
Of the three Rogue Mega Pokemon you learn about in Mission 15, the Banette is the easiest one to find. However, it's also the one you should probably go up against last, just as the game recommends.

Start by fast traveling to the Jaune Pokemon Center, located on North Boulevard. Then travel southwest along Jaune Street, toward Jaune Plaza (where Wild Zone 8 has been erected). As you travel in that direction, look to your left and you'll see a short flight of stairs leading up through an alley. Ascend those to find Naveen waiting near your target.
Boss Battle: Rogue Mega Banette
Naveen brings along Ariados, which has the super-effective Shadow Sneak move at its disposal. That lets you know that you'll likely want to use Ghost-type moves to win the fight. Shadow moves can also prove useful in a pinch, though. None of your starters have those affinities, but you can power up Pokemon you capture around the city. I went with a Sableye carrying the Sablenite, which can be purchase with Mega Shards in the Quasartico Inc. lobby. That approach was enough to help me win, even though my Sableye was a few levels behind the Rogue Mega Banette.
The fight takes place in roughly two phases. The first phase lasts until you bring the Banette's life meter down to roughly its halfway point. Once you do that, it grows enraged and its attacks become more numerous.

Throughout the fight, the Banette generates clones of itself. Those copies fire projectiles while teleporting around the area with the Phantom Force ability. Neither the clones nor the original Banette tend to stay in one place for long, which makes them difficult to hit. You'll probably take damage on occasion, but avoid taking too much all at once. Bring along a lot of potions and keep moving, along with your Pokemon. Roll frequently to avoid both the Banette clones and their projectiles.
Have your Sableye use the Shadow Sneak and Night Slash abilities to do the most damage when it's safe to do so. Once your Mega Evolution meter fills, wait until the Banette has just finished a round of teleporting. Then unleash your moves the best you can within the limited window. Just don't get impatient. You still want to move a lot, especially with multiple targets firing projectiles your way. Steer clear of the inky black pools, which tell you where teleportation hijinks are taking place. If you continue to avoid taking too much damage all at once, you'll outlast the Banette and win the day.
Once you defeat your foe, you receive Banettite. A scene follows, and Naveen heals your injured Pokemon. Then the mission concludes.
